sailors and flowers

Photos by: Sarah Miller & Rachel Bradley
Wearing | Sunnies: 80's Purple, Necklace: DIY, Top: H&M, Jacket: Fedora Boutique, Pants: Mango, Shoes: Sam Edelman
\These floral trousers from Mango have been on heavy rotation in my closet since purchased. So as expected, I've slowly become bored with them and desired a new way to bring them to life. As a lover of anything thats a bit ecletic I decided to give the whole stripes and floral styling pair a go, adding a denim jacket and black booties to give a more tomboy vibe and my gold chain collar necklace for a finishing detail. In honor of what was a glorious spring day and my floral print pants I decided to spend a lovely afternoon with friends at the beautiful Raleigh Rose Garden, enjoying every ounce of sunshine peaking through the trees that I could get!

Style Muse Monday : Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor

So I guess I've been hiding under a rock...because Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor's style is spot on!  She has this retro meets boho meets grunge meets tomboy style going, and it's kinda bad-ass. As a fellow girl who feels like she belongs on the West Coast #westcoastdreams4ever, this girl has everything that I feel embodies West Coast style, a very playful yet pulled together aesthetic. Not to mention she's a model and a DJ. You go girl! Let me know in the comments below some of your favorite style muse babes.

Style Muse Monday : Mykki Blanco

source

I've had the privilege now of seeing Mykki Blanco live twice (& it was WAY more than a privilege). For those of you who don't know Mykki Blanco is a 25-year-old (NC NATIVE) cross-dressing artist who now lives in Harlem, New York. In my opinion he is one of the most inspirational gender-bending rappers and style muses out there. This is primarily due to the fact he seems to have such a strong sense of self in addition to being a highly intellectual creative persona. He can pull off a flawless male or female look any day, just take a look at the images from his Sicky and Pony Step magazine spreads as well as his music video for the song Haze.Boogie.Life to see for yourself!
